Project Overview
The Story
Paterson Architects, based in West Perth, has built a strong reputation over the past 30 years, specializing in commercial architecture. Founded by Greg Paterson, the practice carries his namesake—a testament to the history and personal connection behind the business.
Our brief was to help them evolve the brand to reflect the depth of their practice, creating a new name, visual identity, and brand story that would emphasize the intimate, collaborative relationship between architect and client.
We renamed the practice Paterson Architects to maintain the personal legacy of the founder while establishing a fresh, contemporary identity. The tagline we crafted, “Mind Wide Open”, speaks to the innovative and open-minded approach the firm takes in every project, while underscoring the trust and partnership at the core of their work.
The logo design visually reflects this relationship—the negative space between two circles represents the ‘build’, symbolizing the architect-client collaboration in creating something lasting and meaningful. To complement this, the black and gold color palette was chosen to evoke sophistication, luxury, and high-end craftsmanship that defines every aspect of Paterson Architects' work.
Currently, we are continuing to refine and develop their digital presence with a website overhaul, designed to elevate the practice even further and position them for continued growth and success.
