The Story

The client came to us with a bold vision. Years ago, the family purchased land 2km north of Cockburn Central, dreaming of creating a suburb that embraced the spirit of Fremantle and Perth Terrace—smaller, more affordable lots that could offer a genuine sense of community, far removed from the sprawling, expensive developments on the outskirts of the city.

What started as a blank canvas—a literal sandpit—has evolved over six years into Stage 6 of a thriving new suburb, now a vibrant community that has transformed the area. The development has revitalized the neighborhood, offering an exciting alternative to conventional suburban living.

Given full creative freedom to name and market the new subdivision, we wanted a name that was fresh, inspiring, and not bogged down by clichés. So, we named it MOJO.

The Rationale:
As kids, we were taught that being different was something to shy away from. We tried to fit in, mimicking the trends of the moment—whether it was skateboarding, chopping our hair, or following the latest fads. But as we grew older, we realized something crucial: being different wasn’t just okay—it was great. We embraced our quirks and celebrated what set us apart.

This idea formed the foundation of MOJO Urban Living. It’s a place where individuality is celebrated, and where people are encouraged to live life on their own terms—whether that’s designing a home that’s a personal sanctuary or living a lifestyle that breaks free from the traditional, cookie-cutter mold.
