The Story

This client came to us with the classic problem – time poor and struggling to have a life having to manage their own marketing and they have a huge amount of competitors – 15 competitors within a 5km radius of their practice – they desperately needed some clear air to operate in!

OPEN UP - to speak freely about someone or something

This campaign is all about breaking down barriers, removing industry jargon and speaking freely about the dentist experience. Inspired by the familiar dentist request “Now, open wide”, the idea is that honesty (opening up) is key to better outcomes. From a dentist point of view, that means not ‘avoiding’ the issues that put people off visiting the dentist:

“Lying down, opening mouth, dentists wearing masks, sounds, smells, white coats, dentist chair.”

Instead, let’s open up about them. From educating about the different tools dentists use, to top five reasons why people put off going to the dentist (explore ‘criers’, and how bad childhood experiences influence). Be honest, and insightful. From a patient point of new, opening up means forming a relationship with the dentist. Sharing your life story, feeling comfortable to use your visit as a chance to ‘unravel’ rather than tense up.

“Customers want to feel they have a relationship with us.”

“People need to feel safe. If they have a concern it can be aired and discussed without judgement.”

There is a benefit of this on top of the immediate emotional advantage – it ties in with the idea of whole of body health.

“Teeth provide clues about patient’s more general health - including signs of: Diet, Hygiene + Health.”

By opening up about your lifestyle, you’re helping your dentist piece together a plan to boost your health and happiness + save you money in the long run:

“We know your history so we can treat you effectively based on this accumulated knowledge. It means neither party are wasting time, money or effort.”

It is with this creative concept that we relaunched Claremont Dental and have taken care of them ever since.
